Snag lists for people who are already on site

Photograph the problem. Hand over the proof.

SnagFlag turns a walk round a site into a branded PDF your client can read on their phone before you have left the driveway. It works with no signal, needs no account, and costs once.

This is what they get

Every snag numbered, photographed and marked up, on your letterhead and in your colour. One tap from standing on site to a PDF in the client's WhatsApp.

  • Numbers never shuffle. Snag #003 stays #003 across every revision, because it is already printed on a report somebody has.
  • Markup is drawn as vectors, so a circle round a hairline crack prints at the printer's resolution and not the phone's.
  • A QR code on the cover opens a live web copy in any browser, so nobody has to keep the attachment.
  • Signature blocks for both sides, because a signature is what ends the argument.

Catch it before it gets covered

A snag found at handover costs a tin of paint. The same snag missed at rough-in costs a wall. The NHBRC inspects an enrolled home at four key stages of construction, and every one of them is a moment just before the next trade buries the work.

  1. 01

    Sub-structure

    Buried by the pour

Trench depth, rebar cover, drainage. Once the concrete goes in there is no way to check any of it without breaking something.

  2. 02

    Super-structure

    Buried by the roof

Wall heights, plumb, DPC, lintels, wall plate. Then the trusses go on and the ceilings close it up.

  3. 03

    Storm water

    Buried by backfill

Drainage and site water. Photographed before the paving and the landscaping go over the top of it.

  4. 04

    Practical completion

    Gates the handover

The one everybody already does. Certificates, weatherproofing, services, and the snag list the whole argument is about.

SnagFlag ships these as a project template, so the report you hand over says Super-structure, not Revision 3. Enrolment of the home is what the Act makes compulsory; NHBRC arranges the inspections at its own discretion, which is exactly why being ready whenever the inspector arrives, with dated photographs, is worth something.

Features

Built around the two minutes you actually have in front of a defect. The camera opens first, the snag is numbered before you have typed a word, and it all works with no signal.
